How to Remove a Playlist from Recently Played Spotify
Have you ever found yourself scrolling through your Spotify app and stumbled upon a playlist that you no longer want to appear in the “Recently Played” section? It can be quite frustrating, especially if it’s a playlist from a friend or a one-off listen that you don’t want to be associated with. The good news is that Spotify has made it relatively easy to remove a playlist from the “Recently Played” section. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to do so.
Step 1: Open the Spotify App
The first step is to open the Spotify app on your smartphone or tablet. If you’re using a computer, make sure you’re logged in to your Spotify account.
Step 2: Navigate to the “Your Library” Section
Once you’re in the app, tap on the “Your Library” icon at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to a menu where you can access your playlists, albums, artists, and more.
Step 3: Go to the “Recently Played” Section
Within the “Your Library” section, you should see a tab or button labeled “Recently Played.” Tap on it to view the list of playlists and tracks that you’ve recently played.
Step 4: Find the Playlist You Want to Remove
Scroll through the list of recently played playlists until you find the one you want to remove. Once you’ve located it, tap on the playlist to open it.
Step 5: Remove the Playlist from Recently Played
With the playlist open, you should see a three-dot menu icon (usually located in the top right corner of the screen). Tap on this icon to reveal a dropdown menu. Look for an option that says “Remove from Recently Played” or something similar. Tap on this option to remove the playlist from the “Recently Played” section.
Step 6: Confirm the Removal
A confirmation message will appear asking if you’re sure you want to remove the playlist from “Recently Played.” Tap “Yes” to confirm the removal.
Step 7: Repeat for Other Playlists
If you have more playlists that you want to remove from the “Recently Played” section, repeat steps 4 to 6 for each playlist.
And that’s it! You have successfully removed a playlist from the “Recently Played” section on Spotify. Remember that this process will only remove the playlist from your personal history and not from the app itself. This means that if someone else accesses your account, they may still see the playlist in their “Recently Played” section.
