How to Clear Recent Searches on Google Maps

Google Maps is an incredibly useful tool for navigating through cities and finding new places to explore. However, over time, your recent searches can accumulate and clutter the search history. If you’re looking to clear recent searches on Google Maps, follow these simple steps to ensure your search history is manageable and private.

Step 1: Open Google Maps

First, open the Google Maps app on your smartphone or tablet. If you’re using a computer, visit the Google Maps website.

Step 2: Access the Search History

In the Google Maps app, tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner to open the menu. Then, select “Your Places” from the menu. On the computer, click on the “Your Places” link on the left-hand side of the page.

Step 3: Navigate to the Search History

Within “Your Places,” tap or click on “Search History.” This will display a list of your recent searches.

Step 4: Clear Recent Searches

To clear recent searches, tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen or right-click on the search history section on the computer. From the dropdown menu, select “Clear all” or “Clear searches.”

Step 5: Confirm the Deletion

A confirmation message will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion of your recent searches. Tap “Clear” to proceed.

Step 6: Exit the Search History

After clearing your recent searches, exit the search history by tapping the back button in the app or closing the browser window on the computer.

By following these steps, you can easily clear recent searches on Google Maps and maintain a clean, uncluttered search history. This will help you find the information you need more efficiently and keep your search history private.
