How to Check Recently Removed on Snapchat
Snapchat, the popular social media platform known for its ephemeral nature, allows users to share photos and videos that disappear after being viewed. However, there may be instances where you want to check the content that was recently removed from your Snapchat. Whether you’re curious about a deleted snap or trying to recover deleted messages, here’s a guide on how to check recently removed content on Snapchat.
1. Access Snapchat’s Settings
To begin, open the Snapchat app and tap on the gear icon located at the top left corner of the screen. This will take you to the Settings menu. Scroll down and tap on “Advanced.”
2. Enable “Recently Deleted
In the Advanced settings, you will find an option called “Recently Deleted.” Toggle this option on to enable the feature. Once enabled, Snapchat will keep a record of the content that has been deleted from your account.
3. View Recently Deleted Snaps
After enabling the “Recently Deleted” feature, return to the main Settings menu. Scroll down and tap on “Recently Deleted.” This will display a list of all the snaps that have been deleted from your account within the past 30 days.
4. Restore Deleted Snaps
If you find a snap that you want to restore, simply tap on it. A menu will appear with options to “Restore” or “Delete Permanently.” Choose “Restore” to reinstate the snap to your account.
5. View Deleted Messages
In addition to snaps, Snapchat also keeps a record of deleted messages. To view deleted messages, go to the Settings menu and tap on “Advanced.” Then, scroll down and tap on “Deleted Messages.” This will show you a list of all the messages that have been deleted from your account.
6. Restore Deleted Messages
Similar to snaps, you can restore deleted messages by tapping on the message and selecting “Restore” from the menu that appears.
Remember
It’s important to note that the “Recently Deleted” feature only keeps a record of deleted content for a limited period of time. After 30 days, the content will be permanently deleted from your account. Additionally, the “Recently Deleted” feature is only available on your own Snapchat account and cannot be accessed by other users.
By following these steps, you can easily check recently removed content on Snapchat and restore any important snaps or messages that you may have deleted by accident.
